From my twenties, I was able to eat as much food as I wanted as long as I followed a low-carb diet. As I moved into my thirties, something changed. I didn’t know it at the time, but I now know it was my metabolism. In my late thirties, I continued to eat high protein low carb. In my mind, I thought as I did in my twenties, “I’m a growing lad and I need to eat 700g of protein at every meal, and calorie intake was not a concern.” I reached out to Melissa for assistance, and she suggested a lot of ideas for me. But, I just wasn’t ready. This year, I woke up and decided, this was it, I will commit to one month of Melissa’s meal planning for me and let’s see if she can help. Through those 30 days I was determined. I have a very busy work schedule and cannot make it to the gym every day, but I could commit to 4-5 days a week of 1 hour in the gym or 1hour cycle/walk/jog.
