Small achievable goals, lead to results

The Action Plan

How about that goal you’re wanting to achieve? We all have them, it’s just a matter of putting the energy in to focus on them. But yes, they can be overwhelming right??

Often we think of big goals and miss out on focusing on all the small achievable goals to get us to the big kahuna of a goal! It’s baby steps to get there, really, that all it is. We can do baby steps right??! Or how about strides? Let’s use strides!

Stride 1: Pick out the big, broad distant goal

Pick just one of those goals and start with that. Let’s not make the matter more confusing with all those other goals. Just start with one. There. That’s it! the main goal! That was easy, wasn’t it?!

Stride 2: Divide your goal into smaller goals

For this stride, we must come up with 4 or 5 supporting goals to lead us to the big kahuna goal!

Remember, each of the 4 or 5 supporting goals will be fundamental in order to achieve the big kahuna goal.

Stride 3: Carve out smaller goals into specific targets

Next, we break the above goals into more specific goals. You would conduct this type of breakdown for each of the supporting goals you identified in the previous stride.

Stride 4: Build a master list of single actions

Last part of the process! Build a master list of single actions that will help you reach each supporting goal that will lead you to achieve your kahuna goal (main goal). Be sure to keep each action item as simple and specific as possible. Making a list of simple tasks that you can easily complete one at a time in a short period. This is a helpful tip in getting to the goal! Throughout the process, remember that even the smallest action is better than inaction, and before you know it, you will be on your way to achieving your goal! ∎
